Our mission statement is:
"To call every person to the Life Change found in Jesus Christ."
We believe Life Change happens as we are: Rooted in Grace, Strengthened in Truth, Connected to People and Released to Action.
Rooted in Grace
for by grace you have been saved... Ephesians 2:8,9
Vision: That every person would see their story in light of the gospel of grace, and have it in their "back pocket" ready to share.
How:
1. Get your story down on paper
2. Celebrate Recovery: a future ministry for all of those struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups. (Gosh, that's all of us!
Strengthened in Truth
that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work... II Timothy 3:17
Vision: That every person would constantly be nourished on God's Word and that we would become a church of self-fed Christ followers.
How:
1. Sundays - we will study the book of II Timothy this Fall
2. CORE - a series of three classes to equip you to dive into the Bible, 1st class "How to Study Your Bible" begins October 22nd
3. Life Journals - coming in January, a bible reading plan and tool to help you capture what God teaches you in His Word
Connected to People
let us spur one another on to love and good deeds... Hebrews 10:24
Vision: That every person would be connected to a group of people for the purpose of relationships, care, and the pursuit of Jesus.
How:
1. Villages - a once a month, geographically-based group meeting for the purpose of forming relationships, sharing life stories, dialoguing in Truth, and caring for one another
2. Life Change Groups (LCGs) - a 3 to 5 person, same gender group, meeting at least 2x a month to run hard toward Jesus together in prayer, accountability, and the Scriptures
Released to Action
proclaiming the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.. I Peter 2:9
Vision: That every person would know their gifts and release those gifts for the building up of the body of Christ.
How:
1. EngageAustin - our local partnerships to be the hands and feet of Jesus to our city, we want to pray and dream with you for future partnerships as well
2. Moonlight Towers - be the light of Jesus where you live, grab our smoker for a block party
3. Serve Austin Bible - help us create God-honoring environments on Sundays. Don't worry, we'll find you a job
4. Mexico - serve cross-culturally as we continue our partnership with the DeHoyos family to share Jesus in the Monterrey area
